- Consult the Pros: If you are uncomfortable trimming your pet’s nails, or if your pet has dark/black nails that make the blood line (quick) difficult to see, we strongly recommend consulting a professional groomer or veterinarian before use.
- Liability: Every pet is different. By purchasing and using this tool, you acknowledge that Cicada Striker is not responsible for any injury, harm, or bleeding that may occur to your pet during the grooming process.

🐾 How to Use (Safely!)🐾:
Trimming your pet's nails doesn't have to be stressful. Follow these steps for a perfect, pain-free grooming session:
Step 1: The Light Check
Turn on the built-in LED light. On light-colored nails, you will see a pinkish area inside—this is the "quick" (the blood line). Never cut into the pink area.
- Note for Black Nails: If your pet has dark nails, the quick may be harder to see. Trim only the very tip (1-2mm) at a time.
Step 2: Find Your Angle
Position the clippers at a 60° angle (pointing away from the paw). This ensures the most natural shape for your pet’s paw to grip the ground comfortably.
Step 3: The "Small Snip" Technique
Don't try to take off the whole nail at once. Use the "Cut Here" guide in our diagram and take small, quick snips. If the nail feels spongy while squeezing, stop—you are getting close to the quick!
Step 4: Smooth It Over
Once clipped, use the built-in mini file to smooth any rough edges. This prevents the nail from catching on carpets or scratching your furniture.
💡 Pro-Groomer Safety Tip: Be Prepared 💡
Even pros have accidents! Before you start, always have a "Safety Kit" nearby.
- Styptic Powder: The gold standard for stopping nicks instantly.
- Cornstarch or Flour: A great household alternative if you don't have styptic powder.
If you accidentally nick the quick: Don't panic. Calmly apply a pinch of powder to the tip of the nail with light pressure for 30 seconds. Your pet will be just fine!
